Powerful Bald Eagle and My amazing Experience

We always look for the things which gives us Strength, Power, Freedom and symbolize the Majesty. There are so many things which teach us about all these. And Nature is one of the strongest source which notify us about all this…

It’s a dream for every human to roam every country, visit new places and admire new cultures. And undoubtedly United Sates is one of the top most country among all. Like everyone it was my dream also to visit this beautiful country.

Fortunately, destiny brought this biggest gift for me that I shifted to United Sates after my marriage. It was really great moment for me and my husband when we were informed that we are moving to United States. And very next moment I started searching more about United States. In the first search of United States, Google suggested me about bird, flag, country code and many more options. Well! I got stuck with this Bird. I went ahead searching about it and the name was Bald Eagle.

Bald eagle symbolizes power, strength, long live, freedom and majesty. The fact says that hundreds of years ago the English word for “White” was “Balde” so, the white head eagle was called Bald Eagles.

Eagles are mainly known for their vision and speed. I was so surprised to know that, bald eagle can see about 7 times better than people can. One thousand feet (300 metres) up in the air, a Bald Eagle can spot its prey over 3 square miles (8 square km) because they can see both forward and sideways at the same time. In terms of speed a flying Bald Eagle can reach about 75 miles (120 km) per hour. Also they are very good swimmers.

They live around 40 years or little bit more. So, no more questions on why they are signed for long live…

Bald eagle never leave their sweet home, I can say that is a sign of Majesty. So one have to visit their beautiful home as Alaska, Aleutian Islands, northern and eastern Canada and Florida. But due to frozen rivers in winters, water animals move to different places and so the Bald eagle also migrate to Squamish, British Columbia, about halfway between Vancouver and Whistler.

Well! After landing to Bald eagle’s country, my husband told me that the giant size goods truck of United States also symbolizes eagle’s beak. I was excited to know all this that off course I am going to see bald eagle.

During winters we heard that Bald eagle migrated to our place and we can book guided tour to watch them. And off course we booked it…

The tour was organized by Skagit Eagles tours

The company mailed us about the itinerary we are gonna follow, strict rules for adults and children, and a list of recommended items to bring.

We went with our friends and we all were bit frightful since, it was raining but we all were geared up for the show because they guided us in email to bring the things in case of rain. After reaching the place we observed that the team was very organized and co-operative. They gave us life jackets because we were going through all the way to river in the forest. We entered to a place and saw many bald eagles were sitting on trees. We were still looking at the eagles from our boat and soon we realized that the tour guide started throwing fishes from the big box.

And here the game changes…. One bald eagle flew from the top of the tree, hold the thrown fish from the river and flown back to the tree. Seriously, it was amazing to watch this for 90 minutes continuously. We also watched the eagle fight for fish. Later our guide told us that it good to be raining so the eagles are sitting on trees otherwise they fly high up in the sky. Listening this it brought smiles on our faces.

He shared that he loves meeting new people like us everyday who come for this kind of experience or wild photography. Every moment he was making us alert to take a shot saying “One More”.

Really… incredible experience….

So the bald eagles are now back to their home as winters are over. But me and my husband are not done watching them. So we are gonna fly to Alaska in July, all the way to Bald’s sweets home. 🙂
